nv 4500 swap
i have a 72 chevy 3/4 4x4, i am putting a 402 bbc in it and i am interested in installing a nv 4500 in it, i am replacing the sm465 and i want to keep my np 205 t case. Is their any one here that can guide me through this?

First, you'll need a big bag of money...
 There's a poster on pirate4x4 that makes adapters to mate the NP205 and NV4500 but I lost the link. You'll need to go and search their forums. |

mike you can get a COMPLETE adapter set up from Advanced Adapter for about 900 bucks. there are some things to consider first, how are your fab skills ? there is ALWAYS fab work to do when making changes. also the advanced adapter kit has a aluminum bell housing, with a 402 I would want a cast iron, the BB puts out alot more torque than a SB. and I am sure there are ALOT more things to consider when doing such a swap Coop

Welcome Mike. Look for Dirty Larrys build. He did the swap behind a big block. Do a search. Should be easy to find and lots of good info
