Interchangablity of doors

I can never find what I want with a search, so I am posting this. I have an 85 swb and am looking at doors from a 91 suburban. They are power doors - how much of the harness do I need from the donor? If I want to keep my manual windows can I mount them in the power door shells?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Interchangablity of doors

the 81-87 doors that were also used on up to the 91 crew cab will work. You can strip out the power window stuff and re install your manual windows if you want.

Cool Re: Interchangablity of doors

Door shells are all stamped the same so your manual regulators will bolt up without modifications. Doing the same thing with my '81, gonna strip out the powered regs and door lock poppers from my '91 Suburban donors.

It's up to you if you want to keep the powered stuff, for me it's more trouble than it's worth. The Suburban driver's door has four window switches so you have to decide if you want to find a panel and switch cluster for a regular cab or keep the quad switches. My $0.02
