What type of a/c is this? orig. aft.?

I found the aluminum trim peice in the floorboard, I was just wandering if it is an original style a/c selector?
this was in the place of the heater selector panel.
thanks guys!

sorry for the little bit of rust...

I think that is the control for the standard heater. I have one in my 'burb and have the plate in my sb'64. I dont know what the large hole was for originally.

I bought a new switch for my 'burb and it works. You pull out the knob to open the heater diverter and you turn the knob to set the fan speed.

Economy Air Flow heater control, The larger hole possibly for some kind of aftermarket gauge!

My 66 GMC has that same panel in it with that type of control, but not the large hole as your part has........I have not installed aftermarket A/C heat yet so I use it when the weather gets cold, it works just fine, the change from heat to defrost is done with a manual flapper valve on the heater itself. My truck did not have the deluxe controls. Kieth

Same as my 66 Chevy, as stated above someone drilled that big hole for a gauge.
