Re: front suspension ?

It sounds like you have too much negative camber. It would be best to take it to an alignment shop if you are not familiar with setting up your own alignment. Typically, the negative camber is addressed with shims for the upper control arm, but there could be other issues going on.

Re: front suspension ?

sounds like neg. camber to me . toe is in or out of the front of the tires when viewed from the front, camber is leaning in or out when viewed from the top.too much either way of either angle is terrible for tires

Re: front suspension ?

an important note when you go to the alignment shop, if any of you're suspension or steering parts are worn out they probably won't align the truck .

Re: front suspension ?

One way to check is to see if there is extra play on the joints, torn grease boots

Re: front suspension ?

Have someone hop in the driver's seat and turn the wheel just a little back and forth slowly and look at each "joint" If one moves and the other doesn't, Its probably bad.

Now, jack up the front end and have someone push/pull on the tire looking for play or movement.

I recently replaced my gearbox and pitman arm because of the play in it. I couldn't find it by myself, but with the help of someone else turning the steering slowly I found it. Drives MUCH better now.
