Side window repair
Hello, I normally hang out on the 67-72 side but troll here occasionally.
A friend has a 64 and said the driver's side window glass has come out of the regulator. Do I have to pull the glass and regulator assembly to reinstall the glass? Is it glued in, use friction tape, or something else? If I have to pull the regulator assembly, is there a link to the steps (I tried the search and came up empty)? Any help is appreciated.

Re: Side window repair
try not to pull regulator! the glass goes into the track with sticky tape, you can unscew the track from the regulator just 3 screws, take out track, put tape in replace and stick the glass in. check the rollers while you are in there!

Re: Side window repair
did the window regulator just come off track? if so it just needs to be realigned . if the glass came out of the track then it might be easier to pull the regulator out to get the glass back into the track.

Re: Side window repair
Thanks for the options. I haven't looked at it yet to see if it is out of the track or off the regulator. Hopefully will check on it today.
