Steering wheel mod

My mod for the steering wheel was to ditch the gooey little bugger. This idea took a bit of doing to make right, but its one of my favorite things done to the truck so far.

The addition of a 1971/72 chevelle wheel. Its an inch or two smaller, which helps when you have a belly. Plus it kinda fits the period look of the interior

The horn button took a bit of doing. I had to drill the back of the wheel and mount my button back on the back, but I think it was worth it. I like it anyhow. Just thought you guys might like to see it.

Re: Steering wheel mod

That looks sweet man, I have a 70s camaro wheel in mine thats about the same size. I've got the tach dash too and my only complaint is it makes it hard to see the gauges but im about 6'3" so that probably adds to the problem.

Re: Steering wheel mod

My wheel feels like it's covered with glue! I put a cover on it for now, but the spokes are still a mess. As soon as I find a wheel I like it gets changed. Problem is, everybody thinks their used wheels are worth $100 and up! I'm too cheap to pay that much.

Thats pretty much what sparked my change. Mine was bad nasty. I found that wheel at the swap meet for 20 bucks and so there it is lol
