350 4 bolt main engines
I have been cleaning up and moving stuff around to get room for my panel build and came across two engines I pulled years back that I forgot about.
Thay are both 350 4 bolt main engines. One was in a 69' GMC 1500 and the other was in a 71' GMC 1500. Both trucks were rotten but I drove both home. The 69 has a block casting #3932386 Ran good but smoked a little and has been sitting on the stand. I would def. go thru the engine. The 71 has a block casting #3970010 Ran good and still has the Automatic hooked up to it. Both are runners but if I sold them they would be listed as needing rebuilt. Trying to get an idea of what they would be worth nowadays. thanks Richard

Re: 350 4 bolt main engines
Cores (around here) don't seem to go for much, $100-$150.
I have had better luck parting engines out. I am involved with the circle track racing scene around here, and guys are willing to spend $200 for a stock bore block, or the right set of stock heads, so they can build their racing engines using non-raced virgin parts.

Re: 350 4 bolt main engines
the 3970010 is the high nickle block that supposed to be sought after but I also have 2 in my garage and had posted them both on this board as complete carb to pan for 150 and got no interest at all.
