any updates on the texparts fiasco?

I was curious as to whether customers on the board were taken care of or not. I have not heard anything and have seen hide nor hair of custom to classics as of late. Anyone?

I wouldn't say good news yet as I am still awaiting some resolution and have not heard a word.

something stinks here

I had a pm relative to this post from a guy with user name country boy. He told me that he had been at a swap meet, and had met james and that all the supposed miscommunications had been fixed, and that James was a great guy who sold great parts. Well, thats all well and good. Until I found out that country boy is actually tex parts!!!!! Just like ebay, one can change their user name and continue to burn people. Geez, you try giving someone the benefit of the doubt.

What really sucks, is not knowing what his name is on any given post!! Makes me not want to negotiate on any parts from Texas ! I did buy a steering sector from JPsmith out of Katy TX, but I recognized his posts from before the fiasco with Tex Parts, and I got just what was described in a very timely manner. Thank you Paul!!

Not all TEXANS are bad. I am sorry that someone from Texas would act in such a way, gives all a bad name, especially since his user name has "tex" in it.

I noticed that name (country boy) pop up just after all this mess & even PM'd about some plates & stuff but I didn't get a good vibe from the response. I decided not to pursue any deals until I heard more about him.

chrome plating

If any of you are interested in getting an honest plating job done, email me and I can provide a quote. I sell chrome parts on ebay under the name chevygraveyard. To be honest, I don't really need all the business, but it is appreciated and I am sick of people getting burned. Quality is as nice as I have seen on any show rides. Acid stripped, polished, nickel, copper, chromium plated, and more polishing. thanks

To the contrary...I wish I was BACK in Texas (Uvalde County[Sabinal]is my wifes hometown) I go there every year for vacation. Beats the hell out of this God-forsaken liberal state.. Nothing like summer on the Frio!!I have been here all of my life and just waiting for the train to stop so I can get the hell off!!
Got my eye on a couple of properties. One in Leakey and the other in Concan (not Cancun!) for to stay.
That "Tex" guy gives ALL of the hobbiests a bad name

Unfortunately, I would have to say that Tex has Bo. I keep getting promises to make good but so far it hasn't happened and it has been well over 2 months.

Come on Guys. There are still some of us good guys here in Texas. I have met a lot of people through this 67-72 addiction of mine and all of them have been great folks. Please dont hang us all. I guess there just has to be one of those type every now and then to make us see how good the rest really are.

It's a shame that 1 or 2 can spoil the board, but don't say its all guys from Texas. The ones I've dealt with and talked with are upfront folks. This is just like any other place somebody sometime will screw you if they can. So the rest of us need to watch and warn the rest when a deal goes bad. Thats the only way everybody knows whats up. Lets hope all this stuff gets resolved,at least now we know to stay away from certain guys.
