New From Michigan

Hello everyone,

I bought my '79 Chevy Crew Cab about a year ago. I've been looking around on here and finally decided to join and introduce myself. It was an Arizona truck until 2006 when the PO brought it up to Wisconsin. Somewhere in the next 4 years until I bought it he had it repainted and new seats put in. It's in pretty good shape, but there's work that needs to be done. It has a rebuilt 350 in it that runs strong. When I got it home I put new plugs, front brakes, new K&N filter, Herculiner and did a general clean up. I have recently put it away for the beautiful winter in Michigan. I ordered a new dash pad, air vents, arm rest pads, taillight assemblies, speedo cable, shift indicator, and some other small parts and pieces to spruce it up. I'll be a busy guy come spring time! I want to make it into a nice driver that I have no problem taking out filling the bed up with anything or towing a small trailer. I would like to put a 454 in it with a 4 speed someday, but that is down the road a ways. I don't have too much knowledge of these trucks, but have always wanted one. This is a great resource for these trucks and I can't wait to learn more!
