car-parts.com
Anyone ever use this site to locate parts for our trucks?

Re: car-parts.com
Use them every day, just not for the old trucks. I did find a steering column and K5 tailgate locally using them a while back.

Re: car-parts.com
I'm thinking they might be the ticket for a new bed for my truck.

Re: car-parts.com
Yes. It's a recyclers search engine leveraged with a Hollander type parts interchange database. The goal is to put you in contact with salvage yards that agree to post their inventory online. Your local yards are prolly online with them.
BTW they own the fat finger domain "car-parts.com" that re-directs you to http://www.car-part.com |

Re: car-parts.com
I have bought a couple things for other trucks from the website. The only issue I have ever had was yards not wanting to honor the price listed on the website.

Re: car-parts.com
Good site basically links you to all the junk yards I've bought an 88 suburban steering column and an 06 full floater I was about to buy an 02 ls1 for my camaro but the junk yard does bait and switch they said it was a full pull out but found out it was a long block, gotta be extremely careful with junk yards they're mainly interested in money and not you. Luckily there is a few yards that do keep their word but I went outside of them and that didn't work

Re: car-parts.com
I built my hot rod BMW off that site. I haven't bought anything for the truck. I can't tell you how many motors, trans etc..that I found for customers. I cleaned up my Mom's Rodeo (lights, mirrors, etc) after she told me the only parts she could find were too expensive. Turns out a JY 15 mins away had all the parts she needed and had them listed there. One of the guys at work, last week, told me he couldnt find a bed for the new-to-him Toyota he just bought and wanted to know if I knew where to look. Less than five minutes later he had leads on three in the color he needed. I haven't been let down once. I was just on the site before I logged on here. Love me some car-part.com!
