Big Window Panel saved from crusher

I have been trying to buy this Big Window Panel for some time ( cab was ruined from someone using what looked like an axe to cut a hole for a granny 4 speed ) but they wouldn't ever sell it..... wanted to keep the cab together.

Finally last week after me asking again, they said you cut it you can have it... We are crushing it Friday.

Saved another piece from the metal mashing monster...... wasn't much else worth having, it was pretty rusty, stripped, or been hacked up.

Great score....even got the glass

It's hard to tell for sure, but it looks like the retainer clips for the custom cab sail panels are on there. If so, be sure to save those. Those are next to impossible to find.

Here is some pics of the sail bracket. It is actually 6 3/8 inches long and 1/2 inches wide. It has a slight bend or offset right in the middle ( hard to see this detail ). I am painting the bracket so maybe it will show detail better, I have several of these and they are all rusty. appearantly GM just stamped the out of raw bare steel and bolted them on the cab.

Re: Big Window Panel saved from crusher

That is what I needed. I was planing on trying to put an offset bend in the center. Looks like a simple 5 degree bend in the break is all I need to do. This job just got easier.
Thanks
Jimmy
