ride height
i am in the begining of installing a four link (chris alstons) in a 1980 chevy swb I am wondering what determines the ride height in my directions I want my diff centerline 15 1/2 inches but how do I know where to set the frame for height

that's a little vague. i would say that you should set your ride height after you have your truck all the way lowered. in otherwords, if you are laying out, then you need to have a ride hieght of about 3 or 4 inches if you think that is what you need. if your not laying out and your axle is touching your frame or notch then i would set the ride hieght for 2 inches of clearance between the frame and the axle. if im way off base on this answer or you already know this....sorry

hmmm....i wish i could help on that, but looks like you need someone with experience. maybe someone who has done the crossmember and 4 link will chime in. or find a build thread where someone has done it and send them a PM? good luck
