92 S10 Blazer 4x4 loose column shift lever
Now that the crappy weather is here and my C10 is parked, I have been driving my 92 s10 blazer 4x4. The column shift lever was always somewhat crappy, but now I'm having trouble getting it to hold in park. Fine going in R N OD D 2 1
What should I be looking at for replacement? And are there any write-ups for it?

Re: 92 S10 Blazer 4x4 loose column shift lever
I would first check to see if any of the linkage between column and trans is loose or worn. IIRC there is a rubber grommet at the end of column arm where the shift rod attaches. is this sloppy?
then if this all checks OK I would make sure the end of shift tube in column is tight and not loose. finally I would see if the shift arm fits good into the column and the pin is tight in both the arm and lower bowl. there is also a slim chance you have a problem with the shift gate inside column.
