Re: 66 4dr Crew
looks like the seats were installed for little people. the floor in the box looks like it is just plywood laid over the top of the old one.
the basic truck looks pretty good tough. wonder what lurks under the surface? ron |

Re: 66 4dr Crew
Looks like an unfinished project a Used car dealer bought to make a mint from......I would only give him....maybe $4K depending on the drive train and only if he would take them hideous seats out.

Re: 66 4dr Crew
Wow, just looked closer at the pics (was posted from my phone initially). That is definitely not a professional conversion. Total back yard job. Oh well. I will say though, that this is my favorite design because it's a 64-66 with 60-63 rear doors reducing the inverted triangle b-pillar effect.

Re: 66 4dr Crew
Never seen a crew cab with two sets of sail panels, was that factory correct?

Re: 66 4dr Crew
Nope, this truck was probably pieced together with a 64-66 cab and a 60-63 ( 63 more likely) rear. most of these crews were strictly work trucks, no options other than a heater. there are exceptions but they are very few and far between

Re: 66 4dr Crew
Metoo, Im not knocking the truck, just haven't seen a crew cab that had two sets of sail panels. I think some different colored rims would really make this truck stand out.

Re: 66 4dr Crew
Take a look at the rest of his inventory. Just the first page has a '64 and '66 swb on it. I haven't check the rest of the pages yet. Lots of pics for people to get some ideas though. I like the interior and color of the '64.

Re: 66 4dr Crew
The double sail panels might work well if they were integrated with some suburban upper/side trim:

Re: 66 4dr Crew
And who knows what is hiding behind that sail panel above that.
I am still amazed sometimes at what I see other people do, and think they can get away with.

A lot of good pieces to work with but those square headlights would be the first to go if I had it.

Re: 66 4dr Crew
All of the Coachworks versions that I've seen had door hinges that protrude outward. I've always used that as the first visual queue that it's a "factory" version. Am I correct in my assumption here?

Re: 66 4dr Crew
64 emblem location with 66 emblems? just a thought. Problem is, with a project like this, the deeper you go the emptier the wallet becomes.

Re: 66 4dr Crew
Take a look at the GTO Judge clone. Look closely at the hood and the mad bow that is in the middle. A lot of the vehicles are kinda rough from these guys.
