Question Do seats from 1986 fit in a 1968?

Hello everyone.

I can buy a nice set of 2 seats/bench, 1st and 2nd row.
They are from a '86 suburban. Do they fit in the "68 suburban?

Thanks for watching,

You could remove the bottom of the bench seat in the truck now and bolt it to the suburban seat. That's what I did with the back seat of an '86 four door truck. I had to bend the back bracket (arrow) slightly to make it fit but it bolted up nicely and looks good.

Forgot to add: that is if you have the same type of mounting in the front. The back I'm not sure.

Thanks, that looks perfect. The problem I have over here in the Netherlands, there is nothing for sale for a '67-'72 and there's a lot to get for the '73-'91.
Maybe it's better to buy a burb in the states. throw it full with parts and seats and send it overseas.

I think I'll buy them and make them fit like you said.

I have a 90 suburban front seat in mine. I made up brackets to adapt the seat to the original holes in the floor. The way 68 gmsee did it is easier and I tried that but I wanted the seat higher for my long legs.Either way it can be done fairly easily.Good luck.

X2 - not really a big deal - the important thing is to make sure that the height (how high you will sit) is gonna be right for you.
