Steering wheel turns?
How many times does the steering wheel turn before it hits the steering stop?

Re: Steering wheel turns?
For which model?
It varies by 2wd vs 4wd, series, steering gear ratio and tire size (in some cases). K

Re: Steering wheel turns?
Thanks men. I have an 87. When my wheel is straight it turns one and one half turns , and then stops. The PO cut the steering stops off. The truck is lowered so the wheel is cutting into the control arm. I'm making steering stops for the control arms. Then the steering wheel will turn about one and one fourth and then stop. Then the wheel won't hit the control arm. At least that is the plan.

Re: Steering wheel turns?
Yes, 1.5 turns from center should be about right. Don't make it too short so you have to do 8 point turns.
