Re: Riding like on bump stops!!!

Softer shocks is probably your easiest bet since the suspension is new.

Re: Riding like on bump stops!!!

Will the suspension move any if u bounce on the front and rear bumper.

It is possible u have something bound up, hanger bolts to tight?

Are u new to old leaf spring trucks? They do ride rough.

Is everything so soft ur actually hitting the stops constantly?

Does anything rattle or make noise? Or everything tight?

Re: Riding like on bump stops!!!

I am kinda new to solid axle 4x4 but im sure theyre not supposed to ride this rough. when Im on the freeway and I hit a bridge divider or a patch spot, the wheel actually jerks a little and I gotta correct the steering to keep it straight.
all the suspension is origional. no springs have been changed.
no rattles in the suspension that I can hear.
Im not actually hitting the bumpstops but it feels like my bagged 67 whith all the air out of the bags.

Re: Riding like on bump stops!!!

jack up one front wheel at a time and grab the tire at 9 & 3 jerk on the tire and see if u get any movement anywhere, then at 12 & 6. Keep one wheel on the ground so the steering doesnt move. Also try turning the wheel by holding at 9 & 3, with the other wheel on the ground nothing should move. Some very minor movement is fine, but nothing that moves and rattles. Check ur spring bushings and general inspection off all ur suspension.
