Need your help with my 64 gmc burb
Previous owner pulled a leaf spring or two to lower the burb. This Saturday, leaving the gas station, I snapped the driver side leaf sprint. I had to flat bed it home. Any ideas where I can score replacements? Also, is it a straight swap for a c10 trailing arm system?

it is not a straight swap. any 1/2 ton gmc 63-66 rear spring will work. you can get new ones.

Re: Need your help with my 64 gmc burb
chevrolet used trailing arms(coils). GMC 63-6 used leaf spring except for the very few that were order with coils(optional). any 4 x 4 rear spring either chev or gmc is applicable(they only had leaf suspension in 4 x 4 )
I take it all of the trucks that you are finding are chev? ron |

Re: Need your help with my 64 gmc burb
they may interchange, but there were various GVWs in those vehicles. make sure that they are for the same weight capacity or you may have a stiffer spring on one side and perhaps a different height
