does anybody know what these seatbelts are out of?
Went to the junkyard for some metal gm buckles to learn they don't fit my belt. My truck ('83) has these. Going to have to change shoulder belts I take it.
Buckle in picture (in truck) is a bendix. Metal GM buckles are TRW. Odd, random observation, just shows the extent of products these companies have produced. My 07 peterbilt has a lot of bendix in the air system, and a steering box by TRW. Posted via Mobile Device

Those look like the 88- up belts (that probably match the truck the seat came out of, if I was guessing).

Re: does anybody know what these seatbelts are out of?
Somebody in the past said it might be a newer bench. So I suppose that is a possibilty! Thanks for the reply. Must be newer belts. Don't have a pic of the lower part of the belts, but here is a bigger picture of the seat (with my GM metal buckles sitting in) I guess just getting era correct seatbelts should do the trick

The seat is actually 89-91 Suburban or Crew cab front bench. That truck should have had the buckles that are in there now, or pretty similar. A set of grey 81- up retractors should do the trick for you.

Thanks for the replies! Now to find the right retractors. Wish the buckles worked together but that would be too easy. haha.
