64-66 tach in a 62-63 guage cluster

I wanted to know if i buy the 64-66 tach at Bowtie Bits will it work in a 62-63 Guage cluster?

I would think not, but you should check with the vendor to be sure. They may not take it back if it becomes "modified" to fit. I included the pic of product so others may respond.

I did contact the supllier and they said no it would not. So i returned e-mail stating that it would fit or it would not be correct for the year? I have yet to recieve an e-mail. By the way Bowtie Bits have been very very helpful!!!

Yes it will fit. Same tach from 62-66. I have a 64 tach in my 63. Classic parts of america has them in stock advertised for 63-66. The guage cluster is the same. I have seen the same tach advertised from 62-66 in other catalogs also.

Cool. He's real good about price and quality of what you get. Can take some time to finally get everything moving though...he stays busy. Waiting on a pice of windshield trim now...had one that got bent pretty bad during my last move. It seems like such a small thing, but changing the guage cluster out changed the whole look of the interior. Love my guages. Alot of regions have lots of trucks with them, but I find they are a little rarer in the south. Ill pass the info to you on the vacuum guage for the left side.
