Headlight harness installation

I have a broken connection to my front left blinker lights and while looking closer it looks like some of the other electrical connections (horn, headlight, etc) are a little worse for wear. So, I am considering replacing the harness.

Questions:
- how difficult is this job? I would hate to disable a perfectly running truck by mucking up the electrical
- when shopping for the harness, there seems to be a few options (warning lights, factory gauges, with or without gauges). Which one for a stock 71 chev truck?
- Am I better off just splicing in the repair to the one pressing issue and be done?

thanks!
