Converting a 4x4 to 2wd?

I've tried searching, and it seems that most of the conversions I have found are going the other way... taking a two wheel drive vehicle and converting it to 4x4.

I found what is basically the perfect crew cab to start my CCSB project, however it's a K30 and not a C30.

What is involved with converting a K30 to 2wd?

I am doing the same thing now. The rear spring hanger mounts are different (taller) and the frame rails are about a 1/2" deeper where you will mount the crossmember.Other than that the 2wd frame has indents for the control arm to clear the frame. Sofar thats all that I have found.

going from 2wd to 4wd I've learned:

1. Find a donor car to get the setup from, this can be any 2wd squarebody with an 8-lug front.
2. Pull off the 4wd front parts on your own car, I also removed the engine.
3. Bolt on the 2wd parts, drill some holes using the donor as template to make it fit.
4. Spend time finetuning the suspension!
5. You can leave the transfer case if you want.
