o2 sensors

I am still gathering parts for my 5.3 conversion. Where is the best deal I can get on o2 sensors? Or can I pull some from a junk yard you think? This is a 04 engine do they have to be from a silverado since the engine cam out of one?

Rockauto.com I wouldn't mess with used sensors.

I agree, Rockauto.com is way cheaper than the local parts stores. If I don't have to have a part right now, that's where I go.

And I would get o2 sensors that match your engine as there are different connectors, wire length and grounded versus case grounded, is better to stick with what it originally had.

I just looked into this myself...my harness call for a o2 sensor gm pn#25312184....havent looked into the gm price, but the ac delco afs75 is about $60...and theres a bosch one thats supposedly cheaper than the ac delco....

I ordered some from A1 auto, I think off ebay, and they didn't fit my wiring, so I bought some Bosch from Advanced auto. They weren't working with my computer since the computer used to run a 4L80 trans. and was changed over to run a 4L65. So I threw in some used GM o2's and shazaam, o2 code gone. I don't understand it either. John at Speartech figured it out.

change your harness to run bosch generic 02's. Since all o2's serve the same function (give or take the addition of a heater circuit) there isn't any reason to use a vehicle specific one. I think I used #13444's and they were less than $30 each, the plugs for them aren't expensive either. Also is cheaper in the future if you need to replace them, and most parts stores have them around.

I didn't get the female plugs with my harness, so changing the wires won't be a problem since I have to hardwire them anyway. Thanks for the tip.

Like Br3w said the Bosch .. I just ordered a pair off amazon for under $30 apiece with shipping and they had the plug end I needed.

Here's the part number I ordered says its an oe fit for the pre-cat o2 sensors.
Part#13026 , they were 27.19 each and charged 4.59 to ship 2 of them,

I just ordered two new AC Delco's from Rockauto. They are $109. at the dealer and $90.00 at the parts house. Rockauto has them for $47.00 each.

I went ahead and got the Bosch 13026 from amazon, thanks for the info nacho, and everyone else. Oh yea the adapter plate for the flywheel,torque converter I ended up going with jegs they have them on sale now for 39.00.

what plugs are you using? The 13026 shows a 4 wire flat plug, but no OE interchange listing (at least per there website )

The 13444 uses the common square 4 wire plug from many GM 90-2000's cars

I couldn't find oe interchange there either, but I found it's for late 90s to 02 trucks, I think I looked it up on auto zone. But I don't have ends anyway, gonna hardwire them.

My harness had the 4 flat for the front so they should work fine for mine. The oriely's site had the same part number also

please don't, o2 sensors are a wear part, even though its a "fun car" you can and may eventually burn them out....and rewiring crap constantly is annoying.

You can usually get a set from a junkyard for a few bucks, or free if you buy something else, since most pick and pulls don't care or inventory random wiring connections off the main harness.

I agree I could use plugs if I can find some before the swap begins I will hard wire the plugs. But if I can,t locate any at least I have the o2 sensors ordered.

Ok I got my bosch o2 sensors in today, now can anyone tell me which wire terminates to where in the 04 blu,grn connectors for my computer? The o2 sensor colors are gray, black, and 2 whites.

I found out how to wire these 02 sensors up. Now can anyone tell me the best place to install them. I will be using manifolds and duel exhaust. thanks
