Cool truck. With all those options listed it seems strange that it did not have a/c.

Re: Factory 454 SWB stepside high option

Nice truck. I see it has the styled wheels, and big ten package and headlamp buzzer. That will be a great project!!

Another thing is I thought all 77's had low back buckets, but I have always wondered if the came out with the high backs mid year.

Re: Factory 454 SWB stepside high option

I spotted that truck on kijijji and was going to pick it up just for the options....if nothing else.

Glad to see someone here got it and will save it...so many of these end up in the crusher today.

Nice that it has the SPID listing the options.

Usually 77s had the old style steering wheel and low back buckets.

So they could have been changed ...or it could be a late production unit

Re: Factory 454 SWB stepside high option

the SPID shows buckskin(brown) interior

So the buckets and consol (which appear to be white)may have been swapped in

But it was an original bucket seat truck

So all the correct brackets are there;a set of brown lo backs from a Blazer drop in;and you are back to original

Call George Zapora at GM heritage and you can get a printout of all your options and the original selling dealer

No problem. Thats going to be a great truck when done

According to 73-87.com, 77 was the transition year for bucket seats. You could have either high back or low back. So its possible that the seats are the originals. Also didn't GM usually put tan seats in brown interior trucks?

GM used what are commonly referred to as "low back" bucket seats up until 1977, with "high back" seats thereafter. If your truck is a 1977 model, you could have either one, depending on your trucks build date...this was the changeover year for the different seat styles.
