Axle/wheel question???
Hey guys. I got a set of 15x10 wheels for free and have some 32x11.5s sitting around
I was told by a friend that the wider the wheel, the easier it is when off roading to bend the axle??? I thought having wider wheels would help even out the wear on tires. any info is needed as I was looking forward to getting them mounted up and rolling in style I don't want to swap if this may hurt the axles |

Re: Axle/wheel question???
Both are somewhat true. Skinny tires don't wear evenly, but its really up to the tire. As for running wider tires you add more leverage to each end of the axle housing. Now bending your axles? You'd have to be really hard on your truck and would be more likely in a rock crawling event or jumping your truck. If you run wider wheel and tires and are a mild to med off-roader you will be fine. Hope this helps.
