My windshield exploded today!
So, my windshield was busted in my and I took today to change it out. I cut the rubber and got the old one out, I had a GM rubber that I bought some time back and went to install the new glass.... It was fighting me all the way ( I have put these in before, but it has been 25 years ago so I am no expert but have done it ) I gave it a lil bump with the palm of my hand while seating the bottom of it in and CRACK right up the middle. Then the darnest thing happened, I took it back out and it just exploded!!!! As soon as the thing left my hands and slammed onto the concrete driveway it just exploded, LOL!
Guess I will try another new windshield. Hope this one is more shatter proof he he

What a strange property. Who knew they would blow up when dropped on concrete!

Re: My windshield exploded today!
I know right..... I figured it was junk anyways with the several cracks right up the middle, so when it came back out I just decided what the #@&# and let it go...... made me feel a lil better about breaking it.

Re: My windshield exploded today!
This is one of the reasons I haven't replaced the cracked windshield in my '62, along with the cost of a wrap-around and finding someone to put it in. I'll put up with the comments I'm sure to recieve.
