59 Fleetside Questions
Hey Everyone,
Cruising in the old girl the other day and as I went to wind up the LH window, it didn't wind the window just the handle. I have pulled the upper door trim off, and couldn't see anything wrong, Any suggestions? Being 6ft7 I am always looking for more leg room, i'm about to move the fuel tank and was thinking whats the best way to shorten the pedal throw?? can i just cut and weld it shorter?? I also want to upgrade my headlights to a H4 kit is there anything i need to know?? Do I need to upgrade the wiring?? Thanks for the help in advance! Ill be eagerly awaiting here in Australia, Well probably not i'm likely to fall asleep! its always good to wake up to my problems solved on this forum wish I could have all my problems solved while I sleep! Thanks Shane.

Re: 59 Fleetside Questions
Posible stripped handle or bad regulator.
Ya might want to install a hanging peddle assembly i.e. firewall mount master cylinder. You'll need a relay kit and heaver wiring for the headlights. Have Fun ! |

Re: 59 Fleetside Questions
i'm only 6'4'' i raised my seat 2'' above stock and cut 3.5'' off my pedal.
not sure that moving the gas tank will help, the seat hits the rear cab/glass before the tank. maybe remove the seat back and replace it with plywood and 2'' foam. it's been a while since i've seen/sat in a stock seat.

Re: 59 Fleetside Questions
thanks guys, its just so hard here in australia to find camaro front clips, chevy fs front bench seats etc you guys make it sound so easy!!! and the freight is a killer from the US. I'm about to order $5k worth of stuff for the truck and with the freight being more than $1k it wastes good parts money!!
thanks for the replys. In regards to headlights i know in australia they sell a 5 3/4 H4 upgrade kit can i just buy 4 lamps? or is there a specific type? is there any modification other than the wiring? Shane
