I hope this is not a real stupid question BUT...

what do the stems do on this wiper bezels???

with the little holes, it looks like they would be for the windshield washer.

This just puzzles me.

new ones are on the way and since these sit inside the cowl.... anyways.

Re: wiper part question

I am thinking the screws are a plug if the truck came without a washer motor???

Re: wiper part question

They are for the windshield washer option. Std GM squirters go where the plugs are, line comes from the pump. I have never seen a factory set up so I don't know if the pump was in the fluid tank or separate. I am going to find a later model with a pump in the tank and use that. Hose will have to go thru the firewall to get to the brass tubes.

Re: wiper part question

They were used for a very rare washer system. Would have had squirter nozzles in place of the screws. GMC trucks sometimes had a bag on the inner fender, Chevys a washer bottle mounted on the firewall. There were variances depending if you had a vacuum or electric wiper motor. There was a foot pump version. Hard to find a complete set up any more. But if you are out in a bone yard and see a wiper knob in a 55-59 with a little button in the center of the stock knob grab it and the switch. Then look farther. You may find a complete setup. Hard to find 20 years ago and almost impossible now. The Cameo accessory guys used to be after them if they were loading one up with options. They are kind of so rare nobody knows exactly what they are.
