High output alternators?

I have a 200 amp 22SI Delco alternator off a heavy duty truck that I'd like to use in my "light duty". Has anybody tried to fit such a beast before, and are there stock brackets that will hold it? I'm not sure if it will fit lengthwise where the alt is now, I may have to move it completely. I know I'll have to use two V belts for that kind of power.

Maybe it would be better to install 2 alternators instead? I need more power becuase I'm converting everything belt driven to electric. Right now I can barely keep up with the headlights.

You can set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill,
and I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe de Ville.

Re: High output alternators?

Get some hid headlights and they will take less than half the power as regular. You can also run led lights in the marker and tail lamps. Even go so far as led interior/dash lights.you can run a high amp alternator like a 110 that will fit in the stock brackets of you need more power. But I would get a bigger batt and make everything else more efficient

a bigger battery? why would someone need a bigger battery? If it starts the vehicle, it should be just fine. Unless you are running winches with power off or something similar.
Once you start adding stuff to the vehicle, just need to give yourself some room for peak amperage draw and match your alternator accordingly. Once the vehicle is running, shouldnt be drawing down the battery to worry about it
