Vacuum source for power brakes

Where are you getting it from? Can I use the port on top of the intake?

Re: Vacuum source for power brakes

Its on the back of the intake on the drivers side. If your engine originally had hydroboost then there will be a black plug in it. You need to push the red part in while pulling the black plug out, then replace with the hose nipple for vacuum brakes. You can get the nipple from the dealer for a couple bucks.

What is the port on the top for? Just for my knowledge.
Do you have a part number for the nipple?

I guess that would help huh? I will take a better pic of it tomorrow. It's right in the middle of the intake on top comes out at a 90* angle.

I tried to find the same thing a while back, and at the dealer all their parts catalogs/computer shows is the nipple.

Maybe you ans Softballnrd27 could arrange a swap? You both have what the other needs.
