Re: 6 Lug spider Caps

I'm getting tired of looking and searching for these. Anybody have an opinion of these?

Gorilla also makes the spinners that attach to these and they are found elsewhere on this site.

Are you trying to put these on GM 6 lug wheels? If so, there is no clearance for any push through type cap. If you look at the center hub and the center of the wheel when mounted, the hub contacts the wheel to help center it. There is zero room for a push through cap.

The exception to this is if you have converted to 6 lug discs in the front as the hub diameter is the smaller 5 lug style (since they used blank 5 lug type rotors). There was enough room for caps but then you would only have them on the front and not the rear.

Re: 6 Lug spider Caps

Thanks for the insight Chevy_Mike. That is the kind of issues that needs to be discussed about these caps. I have aftermarket rotors on the front, so they would probably work there, but not the back. I suppose that I could mount the caps on the outside of the back wheel. I have a colorful adjective to describe how that would look. Plus I'm sure there would be issues with the lugnuts with that.

Re: 6 Lug spider Caps

one option you can do is grind the center out and use the push thur caps and bullet lug nuts and make what they call a "poor mans" spider cap like i did in my build thread heres some pictures:

That's the look I'm going for. Where did you find your caps and what size if you don't mind me asking?

Re: 6 Lug spider Caps

That is AWSEOME. I like the look of the bullet centers and bullet lugs but there is just something special about a spider cap. I cant wait to see them.

got them from http://lugnutking.com/ you have to grind a little out of the center of the wheel to get them to slide through , they measure 3.75"
