Looking at a lot of these cars up close reinforces the notion that you should never be a phone bidder. Some of these looked like a million dollars in the photos or from 20 feet, but upon closer examination, the flaws really show up.

This Impala was outstanding from 10 feet way. The paint looked great, and let's face it's just cool. But when you got up close, there were spots where the body filler was cracking, paint was chipping off, etc.

You can go to Mecum website and see all the results. All you need to register is an email address.

I call BS on the all original. I spent about 10 minutes looking at this truck and I don't believe it. The interior didn't match and I really have a hard time believing this was the orignal paint.

Huh... didn't know GT steering wheels were OEM in 72? But the add says "All original" so it must be true, Mecum wouldn't lie.

Re: Mecum Auto Auction

I am not sure I have been on this site but for some reason this is the first time I realised a truck had a painted wood floor to match the body. Not many people seem to be restoring them like that it seems.
