Angry i'm having a big problem with brakes, HELP!!

I have a 63 fleetside swb that I'm building. On the front I have installed 72 dropped spindles from CPP. I bought rotors, calipers, and pads from O'Reilleys for the same year. When the calipers and pads are put on the rotors it is impossible to spin them. The largest braker bar will not budge them. Remove the calipers and pads and everything spins freely. I went back to O'Reilleys with the problem and got the old story well that what the computer calls for the part numbers are correct. Obviously there is something wrong somewhere. Any ideas?

Check to see if the caliper bracket is hitting the rotor.

Is it difficult to slide the calipers and pads over the rotor? Are the pistons in the calipers retracted comletely? Have you tried bolting the calipers to the spindles without the pads installed? This will help narrow down the cause of the issue. Check to see if the caliper bolts are touching the outer edge of the rotors.

Re: i'm having a big problem with brakes, HELP!!

I had the same problem with the kit I bought from POL. After checking the caliper bolts and pistons. I had to pry the metal off the back side of the pad (Advise from POL). That gave me enough room to get the caliper on.

Good: they fit
Bad: That little piece of metal is there to stop squealing (I think). I forgot to put brake quiet on before I put is all together. So, they squeal..... a little
