Transfer case support
I have a 1986 Chevy C20 4x4 with a 496 putting out over 600hp. I am looking for a better way of supporting the 208 case. Anything out there other than the support bar that came from the factory? Anyone know where you can get a support bar?

Re: Transfer case support
The illustration is the RH & LH engine to bellhousing braces. The numbers reference sections in the text half of the parts books that have the actual GM part numbers. There are Diesel and Not Diesel varieties of these.
The parts books don't have an illustration of the NP208 transfer case torque brace but it does exist. I've seen one. They are different lengths for different transmissions. They're easy enough to make with flat stock, black iron pipe, torch, welder, and drill. Hammers and anvils come in handy too. |

Re: Transfer case support
Is this kind of what you are looking for? This is a 350/205, but same concept?
