Black Paint

Thanks to markeb01 i got my John Deere Satin Black paint in today, LOL. I am doing to do the same and paint my truck with that i keep my fingers crossed that it turns out half as good as markeb01's did. It was really inexpensive too. I think a gallon and hardner was only 70.00. I will post pics as soon as i get it sprayed.

Re: Black Paint

I used the JD Blitz Black w/hardner on the chassis of my '68. I am very happy with it.

Re: Black Paint

Good luck with your project. I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out and holds up with hardener. I’ve certainly been pleased with how well the stuff has held up without any. Just make sure to protect yourself as there are isocyanates in the hardener.

Re: Black Paint

Ok guys, here is the firewall painted and it turned out really good. It is a nice smooth and seems to be a pretty hard finish.

Re: Black Paint

Nice job. The engine certainly looks fantastic. I really like the tight fitting hard line from the pump to the carb.

Re: Black Paint

Good luck. I look forward to seeing how it comes out as well. I work in a body shop, and used to paint high end customs and street rods but I have been considering using the cheap priced implement paint like this on my Burb. It just fits my budget better, and seems to look every bit as good when done right.
