Post Alternator W external regulator I wired wrong!

I made a mistake that might help others luagh or learn from. I have a 65 C-10 and it had new alternator, regulator, and battery, I guess my alternator went bad, so I took it to autozone and they tested it, said it was fine, so I thought the wires loose that plug into the alternator F and B socket, I cut them and used new butt connectors, I did'nt remember which wire went where, so I thought black goes with white, and blue go's with blue, right? Wrong, that way I had the wires backwards, battery was not being charged!
