Gas gauge help
Gas gage driving me crazy. New 30 ohm sender, new wire, harness, original gauge. Can someone tell me if gage is 30 or 90 ohm. If 90 ohm will 30 ohm sender show empty or barely move up? I still need to check ground but I think it's ok.
Thanks for help Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Gas gauge help
90 ohm started in `66, all prior were 30 ohm, but given the age of the truck dosen`t mean somebody hadn`t changed them already, as you said check the grounds both tank to cab and gauge pod to cab, then you1ll know that the gauge is bad or 90 ohm..if you run a 30 ohm sender with a 90 ohm gauge it will show empty quicker.....

Re: Gas gauge help
Rich thanks. I'll try that tomorrow. I'm betting it's a 90 ohm gauge since the sender can barely move it off E. Even though tank is near full. Appreciate it
