Re: Poor Old Goat

A couple of weeks ago we saw a 72 Grand Prix in our local pull a part that was solid and dent free with all sheet metal present .The only things missing were the 455 motor ,trans ,front brakes and seats .I got the seat belts as they are similar to chevelles. Its rare to see a near complete classic rust free car around here .

Re: Poor Old Goat

I remember a thread some time ago about someone putting on eBay a Z71 Camaro that was basically melted into the ground. It was a big pile of rusting metal; but it had a clear title, and somebody bought it and used the title on another car. I think they just bought the VIN plate and that was it.

Re: Poor Old Goat

What a shame! A few years back there was a 68 GTO i saw in a junkyard in Topeka. It was a 4-speed car that was stripped to the shell. The only good parts left on it that were of any value was the 4-speed brake/clutch pedal assy. and the gutted 12-bolt rear end housing. Made me want to cry! Thanks for sharing. Joseph

Re: Poor Old Goat

the owner probabaly passed away and his kids saw it as just an old car and sent it to the junkyard.

seen a 64 Ford Falcon van (Econoline with windows) that had a very rare 4-spd COLUMN shifted manual trans that got donated to the VOA. The owner that had it was a member of a Econoline club I belonged to. He had restored it to better then original condition. latter learned he had passed away and his kids sent it to the VOA. His spare trans went to a scraper.

Re: Poor Old Goat

I passed a wrecking yard friday while working. There was either a '67 Gote or Tempest in the yard. I may stop bye monday and take a peek. It was pretty rough though.
