67-72 Hotchkis TVS w/Rack & Pinion??
I'm contemplating removing the inner tie rod and center link used on a Hotchkis TVS and replacing it with a No Limit Engineering R&P unit. Would this work??
Any changes to performance in terms of bumpsteer ?? Let me know your thoughts or maybe you have done this already. Thanks in advance |

length of the arms is important. I knoat the TVS kit does NOT change the location of the inner pivit points of the upper and lower arms. BUT, I don't know if the arms are the same length as stock. If there arms are the same length as the OE arms, then it's a go. I think this would be a great performing system.

I thought the Hotchkis kit eliminated the bumpsteer w/a different centerlink/tie-rod arrangement?

SCOTI,
Yes I believe you are correct. Their centerlink helps to remove the bumpsteer encountered on the OE suspension. Rob, I'll ask Hotckis if they can comment on the length of the A-Arms. I doubt the actual length changed much but worth the question before spending money. |

We have not tested this kit with a R&P steering. I will check with the engineer when he gets in.

Several trucks ran in Nashville this weekend, with a mix of components using our rack and pinion and other A arms and spindles.

Thanks Rob.
I will likely be calling you up later this week with an order for your R&P. |

I was at the shop tonight and remembered to check this for you..... The upper control arms are the same, but the Hotchkis lowers are about 1" shorter, so if I'm not mistaken that will have a negative effect on bump steer with the No Limit rack.
