Holley throttle bracket with 700R4
Just swapped in a 700 into the 77. Is anyone using this bracket and if so, is it strong enough? http://www.holley.com/20-95.asp
I know there's a lot of tension on the TV cable. Im running a 670 Street Avenger |

Re: Holley throttle bracket with 700R4
I used a similar bracket on my Holley, but the TV was also really tight and I couldn't get it to adjust right either. From my experience, the TV cable is supposed to barely have tension at it at idle. The truck might shift weird because the more it pulls it, it thinks you have more throttle, and will hold the shift longer at lighter throttle.
I switched to a Lokar and it was much better. Although more expensive, it was a nice piece and setup how it should be. |

Where were you guys when I was doing mine!
I knew it wouldn't shift right with it pulled so tight. Good to know on the next one. |

Re: Holley throttle bracket with 700R4
I currently have Bowtie Overdrives TV kit but I was trying to find a throttle cable bracket that would work with it. Then I found the Holley one. Now that I read your replies, I'm thinking I need to just keep with their kit.
Now I'll just need a throttle bracket by itself that will work with it |

Re: Holley throttle bracket with 700R4
I have both on my Holley Street Avenger/700r combo, no issues at all since the October 2009 install.

Re: Holley throttle bracket with 700R4
I have had the bracket and extender on my Holley 600 with the 700R4 and they do go hand in hand.
Haven't had any problems and that was 8 yrs ago..give or take

Re: Holley throttle bracket with 700R4
Happy to report that I used http://www.holley.com/20-95.asp and the geometry is the same as the BTO TV bracket. Using BTOs bracket at the carb arm to hook up the connector from the TV cable but the throttle and TV bracket worked great.
