What did this come out of?!?!?!?
Can anyone ID this rearend? (hopefully a pic attached)
It's a 6-lug with "NF3896838" cast in the differential casting. (can't find any other stampings in the axle tubes) Note the coils that had been welded onto the axle and since cut off. Was this stock on any vehicle or is it a farmer custom.?

The rearend appears to be a 12 bolt GM pickup rear end. The extra coils that have been removed could be of the "i cun makum meself" variety or an aftermarket add on. Those factory rear coils couldn't support much of a load so a lot of the rear coil suspension trucks seen some sort of aux. spring added to them.
