Putting the bed back on
Im starting to plan the mounting of my bed back on the frame. I saw these for sale and I am wondering not only if I need them but how are they used? Why would there be only two blocks of wood and not four? Is wood the only option available?

rear cross sill sits on rubber and frame. 2 centers can "float" or move up the hump.. but need spacers to line up the bolts, and the front sill definitly needs the blocks, to match the height or the rear ,however, you can adjust the height of the front and centers, to get a certain rake or angle to the bed. maybe thats why the wood? a quick adjustment? make them out of whatever you want.. |

Re: Putting the bed back on
Okay, thanks. I get the concept now. I wonder why this set has 5 pieces? Im also looking at another set that has 6 including 4 blocks of wood. So they are just shims- seems like a pretty lame solution to the problem. Was GM using this same frame for a car or something and didnt want to come up with a more permanent solution?
