1 and 3/4 cut off. No bump stops. As low as I can go.

Re: Pics of cut coil rigs

Caddy like, soft, It will hit on a large bump. I removed 6 of the 8 leafs in back. I love it. A trick to removing the front springs is to unbolt the lower control arms at the frame, instead of undoing the ball joint.

** when you take them out for the first time, BE SURE to use a spring compressor!

I have cut so much off, there is not seat pressure when I jack up the front end.

I began lowering to lower my 64 last night, not knowing I would catch so much hell trying to get the lower ball joint to bust loose. I don't have a spring compressor, guess I could go rent one... was hoping to bust the ball joint loose but man that thing is set in there GOOD.

Hard to tell but my truck is raked 2 inches. installing 2" lowering blocks tomorrow.

Re: Pics of cut coil rigs

Before/After on a '66 C10 with the heavy duty spring option. Cut 1.5 coils.

Rear dropped with Jeep TJ coils.

Another before/after.

Not sure, didn't measure. It has a mild rake. Will take pics next time I have it out.

Re: Pics of cut coil rigs

I bought this Suburban like it is. Front coils are cut, not sure how much, rear appear to be drop coils. Looks awesome but rides like CRAP, it's always hitting the stops.

Re: Pics of cut coil rigs

My old 63. 1.75 cut, bump-stops removed. 70's Chevelle springs in rear.
Ride just "okay" as long as you didn't hit a big bump.
