Speedo
Well I got my new speedo cable in and all went well until I jumped in the truck to see how things were working. Turns out my speedo is SANFU also, the odometer is working fine so I know the cable is hooked up correctly but the speedo needle won't move or register the speed. I have the rest of the day to kill so my question is this. Is it worth pulling the speedo out of the dash and tinker with it to see if I can get it to work, or are these sealed units therefor I should just forget about it and try to find a new unit? Has anyone had any luck repairing these in the past?

Re: Speedo
Yea go ahead and pull the speedo they are not a sealed unit. Take a look at it and see if something is hung up or popped out of place. Worth a shot.

Re: Speedo
I have also notice with mine, that if the cable isn't all the way clipped into the back, it will pop out of place giving the indication there is something wrong with the speedometer

Re: Speedo
Got the speedo out. The tiny tiany brass spring behind the needle was all screwed up, no hope of fixing it. Guess it's time for a new one.
