Might want to start with LMC to get the idea of what you want. Here is a page link, start here and page through. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=38
Also two pictures one from LMC and another from an old GSPP catalog to clarify things. I'm sure there are more suppliers. Where have you been looking?

Re: Bed Bolt debockle
For a steel floor short fleet you need 3/8"x4" carriage bolts and you need 8 of them. Theres also some special top washers that have a offset hole.

Re: Bed Bolt debockle
I didn't like the look of the offset washers, so when I was putting my bed together, I just got the biggest bolt that would fit through the hole on the braces that connect to the frame and just mounted them directly to the frame without the wood being on.
The edges and the bolts in most of the metal strips hold the bed down to the cross braces. It didn't look like it hurt anything in terms of strength.

Re: Bed Bolt debockle
What is the purpose of the washer with the offset hole?

Re: Bed Bolt debockle
Steel floors have square holes punched in them that hold the carriage bolt from turning but a wood floor the square hole wouldn't be enough to hold them so the off set washer has the square hole in it and the boards are counter sunk in the bolt hole area so that with the washer off set, when you tighten them it tries to spin the washer in the counter sunk area and it can't turn.

Re: Bed Bolt debockle
Matt,
Was my post #3 the information you were looking for? An earlier post of yours mentioned a bed bolt kit so that is what this was based on.

Re: Bed Bolt debockle
SSTim... The earlier mention of a bed bolt kit was because i have aquired parts and pieces from several different places, and i had no hardware to put it all together... That situation has been rendered complete not i was just wanting to know what size bolts i needed to mount the complete steel floored bad to the frame. As far as the washers go i dont believe they are used on a steel floor only on the wood floors to keep the bolts from turning....
