How do these lighters come out of the dash?

mine had a backside peice and a front peice, they screwed into eachother.... the front went into the back.... best of luck

I stick my thumb in the hole in front and bend my thumb to hold it still whilr I reach behinde the dash, unplug the wire, and turn the back piece.

While were asking,How do you get an ignition out without a key?And how do you get it out with one?

with a key, you insert the key, turn it ( i can't remember which way) then push a bent paper clip or something like that in that little hole in the tumbler. It should release to allow the ring around the lock to unscrew.

GMC Paul's Tips Without the key would be a mystery to me but it may include a pair of vise-grips. GMC Paul's tips have some valuable information on these old trucks. Check it out and buy some stuff and help to support this board. Have fun
