Setting airbags the right way on my 69 K5

I want to know how to setup my airbags the right way on my K5? Any advice please help. I took off my springs all around and notice my tires are rubbing in the rear. Why? Are my rims to wide? They are old school Boyd's 20s by 10s tires p285/50r20 with org rear end. The rim is a deep dish. I'm guessing the front will have a problem too. Any place in the bay area that can help as a shop.. I'm located north of San Jose,ca...... Help!!!!

It all depends on where they are rubbing on what the issue is and what needs to be fixed. I take it you have a factory 2wd with trailing arms since you described the rearend I'm guessing you're talking about the rear.

If they are rubbing on the inner tub, you can use spacers to push the wheels out, but I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than the 1" spacers that are of good quality. Just make sure that you have enough room to push the wheels out this far.

If they are rubbing on the outter lip, you can cut off the tac welds that are behind the lip and remove the inner piece and then roll the lip for a little added clearance. I'd do some looking and measuring before going this route though...

I have 4 rubber bushing in the rear to clear the rubbing for the current moment.

Three choices:
Your rear wheels need a different backspacing.
Your rear wheels need to be narrower.
The rearend needs to be narrowed.

that a pretty good sized rear tire...i'm running a 275/35/20 and it rubs only at full drop. running a 20x10 with a 5" bs. you may be able to cure this with a diff. tire depending on your notch and how low you go. no expert,just trying to help!

The truck still has the original rear end, drums in the rear, no springs in the rear because wanted an idea with bags on. The rims on the rear are 10in wide and rubb against the lip but on the other side wheel wall I have good clearance. ????

That makes it much better! You're going to need to get a longer panhard bar and just adjust it so the rear end is centered at ride height. With the longer bar, it shouldn't shift over enough to make one side rub when you drop it down. If it does, just adjust it back over a little to stop the rubbing.

The backspacing is wrong on the wheels. You say you rub on the outside but the inside has plenty of clearance. Your wheels need to move in, which would require a different backspacing on the wheel or narrow the rearend.
