I won't disclose the details on how I will be using the gas cap you see here - but I'm excited! Gotta feed the big block ya know.

Yukon,

The A/C cab I recently bought is going to get inner/outer rockers and corners next week. Let me know how everything fits back together. I'm worried about cab getting out of true.

LOL!! When we pulled the old motor out, Jason and I tried to convince him it was the perfect time to fix and paint, and he didn't want to get into it. Now the avalanche has started! You're past the point of no return now Mark, lol! Hmmmmm................I think I see ghost flames in the future, lol!

Ghost flames, ah, that would be sweet wouldn't it. Yes, this is all Barn9 and Blazer Boy's fault! Here's how it goes: Mark, see that area of rust, you ought to get that fixed while the engine is out and front clip is off. Then Blazer Boy chimes in, man you ought to go ahead and paint it now. Barn9 says, you really should. I say, boys, I need to get this baby back on the road, I can't afford to, it do it someday just not now.

Then they smile at each other and keep proding me. Next thing I know the cab is on a trailer heading to my friends for very minimal rust repairs that he offered to do. Of course I through floor pans, rockers, inner and outer, along with the kick panel in my truck when I took it to him. My buddy looked at the new parts, and what do you know, got him to do it all. What a guy!

Well, it's taken a while but when Ebfabman was selling the fill plates for the gas tank I bought one so I took that to my buddy's too. He loves doing custom stuff so he got right on filling the gas tank. Should be bringing the cab home this week, hopefully tomorrow!

Thanks Barn9 and Blazer Boy, I know you two are laughing your a$$es off.

Okay about the gas tank, when I had the flat bed made I had the supports that go from the bed to the headache rack made bigger so I could eventually have a custom tank built that would follow the lines of the headache rack support. Should hold at least 33 gallons and look pretty bad a$$.

Here's the best pic I have of the supports where the tank will sit so you can see how the tank will be. It will miror the shape of the supports.

Yes, I am laughing out loud, but it's a good thing! There would never have been a better opportunity to fix and paint. I'm glad you're doing it, and once it's all over and done, I think you'll be glad you did it.

The rockers actually fit pretty good. Got them at the last swap meet I went to. The passenger floor required just cutting out the bad and cutting the new floor pan to fit. The first think I will do when I get the cab home is put it back together to make sure everything lines up and then start sanding. What fun!
