2/4 drop

I'd like to lower my truck. It's 6 lug/drum all around. I'm not ready for a disk brake conversion. So, if I do a 2/4 using a drop springs and shock kit, when I'm ready to go lower, can I then do a 2" drop spindle and 2" lowering blocks with c notched frame? Is my thinking flawed?
