Exhaust routing help
Ok need some ideas on running some exhaust on a 64 C10 Have headers right now nothing else yet . Has anybody run the pipes on the outside of the frame back to the bumper instead of inside the rails and getting over the rear end and around the track bar going outside might be tight by the rear tire and frame so is this a good or bad idea? Hope somebody can help

Re: Exhaust routing help
I just did that this week. I haven't run it all the way to the bumper yet, as i'm looking for a difft bumper. But i did tell them to set it up to go between the spring and tire.
Do a search on here, as i've seen some pics of others who did this. That's where i got the info from. I don't remember where the thread was though.

Re: Exhaust routing help
If the 63-72 frames are supposed to be almost the same, couldnt a 67-72 kit work on the 63-66? Im sure there would be some minor mods, but has anybody tried?

Re: Exhaust routing help
hey thanks guys Iam thinking of going outside the rails using mandrel bends to do this two 45s to make a offset to the out side of the frame and found a place that has a 18 degree mandrel bend that would get you started up the frame past the rear spring and another 18 bend to make the offset a straight shot out under the bumper still mapping this all out using store bought bends
Thanks |
